Giving Back
The coronavirus is affecting many people's lives, so we need to make sure that now more than ever, we are helping each other out. This can be something as simple as checking in on a neighbor (from at least 6 feet away to practice social distancing) or serving your community in a larger way.
Last weekend, my family and I baked some Hope's Cookies to give to our neighbors. Hope's Cookies is one of the great brands that is represented by Horizon Food Brokers. To help the community in a larger way, one of our distributors, US Foods, reached out to us at Horizon Food Brokers to help with food donations for a great cause. We partnered with Table & Aid to benefit our workers in the culinary field by providing meals to them and their families while restaurants are closed. Some of the great brands and products that were donated were Tribeca Oven, TipTop Poultry, Chicken of the Sea, Panapesca, Vibrant Health, Teasdale, CBQ Rupari, Rudy's, Culver Duck, Rana Pasta, Tony Chachere's, Hope's Cookies, Jarrito's, Kayco (Beetology and Wondermelon), Elmhurst Dairy, Deiorio's, Drake's, Padilla, Colavita, Gambino's, and White & Hodge Brokers.
